The process, step by step

  1. Email me your name, what you'd like (Phase5 or Simple), and your full postal address incl. country. I reply with the current wait-time.
  2. You pay the €200 deposit (+ VAT where applicable). Simples may be paid in full at once.
  3. I confirm your order with a receipt and your expected ship date.
  4. You choose your pigment — see Pigments. EU orders can use the free pigment service.
  5. Final invoice ~4 weeks before your ship date. Phase5: full payment 2 weeks before shipping. Simple: usually ships within a week of payment.
  6. Shipping. You get the tracking info by email when your prosthesis is on its way.

Please note: the prostheses cannot be resold if returned — so there is an absolute no-refunds / no-returns policy. If anything is unclear, ask me first; I'd rather answer ten questions than leave you with one doubt.

Payment methods

Usually two steps, no payment plans. Deposit: bank transfer or PayPal — I'll send the details once we begin. Please wait for your order number before sending anything. Main payment: bank transfer (free within the EU; Wise works well internationally). For non-EU orders I also accept PayPal for the main payment.

Postage

Shipped from Germany with Deutsche Post, DHL, or DHL Express — insured, tracked, signature on delivery, to a street address or DHL Packstation (no PO boxes). Usually a few days to 2 weeks. Plain brown boxes, sent from the company name (see imprint) — within the EU there's no description of contents at all, no customs, no import fees.

Outside the EU — customs details

Your package passes through customs and your country may charge taxes or fees. The customs declaration includes the price paid and the customs code for articles of apparel/clothing accessories made of plastics, described as "moulded silicone limb"; the commercial invoice is on the box (I send you a PDF copy). Be aware there is no privacy with customs — packages may be opened or scanned. Contact me if your package is held, and ask me first if you're unsure whether I can ship to your country.

Shipping to the USA

I'm glad to send to you, but import has become a bit of a process lately. Packages go via DHL Express (German post has reduced US services). Expect: a wait at customs (a week, possibly longer), communication with DHL's US import section, and a tariff payment of about 200 US dollars — you may also be asked for your SSN. It sounds more daunting than it is, and I'll help you through it if anything comes up.
