Terms and Conditions
I'm required to include this section for legal reasons, but I also include it for transparency — I want you to know exactly what I'm offering and what I cannot offer. Please contact me if you have questions.
1. Project concept
t2 prosthetics is a design project to create the perfect prosthesis. Since launch in 2005, t2 prostheses have always been far ahead of every other penis-scrotum prosthesis available. The project itself began in 2002.
When you purchase a t2 prosthesis, you are directly involved in the process — encouraged to give feedback and share ideas. Your purchase funds the project. Each prosthesis sold is a sample, a tester in the design process: a fully working prosthesis as explained on this website, but not a "market ready product". t2 prosthetics is the research and design phase in product development.
I'm always improving the design. Durability is one central focus, but the prostheses are made of soft silicone, so durability has limits. This is handwork in the realm of a design project — my production forms are temporary and imperfect, so there will always be small blemishes and markings.
I no longer offer the guarantee. This may sound extreme, but I can't sustain this project with it — not because so many prostheses break down early (I do significant checks, tests, notes, and photos before shipping each one), but because my costs and risk level have gone way up, and fraud has gone way up. In lieu of a guarantee, I have lowered the price (including the price of replacement skins). The prostheses are sold as is — as testers for feedback and funding in the realm of a design project.
One more very important thing: what you are buying is the latest prototype. I need to know what works well and what to change — please give me feedback on your prosthesis, and please contact me when things go wrong and when they eventually break down.
2. Contacting t2 prosthetics
All contact is through email. I do my best to answer all emails within 1 day of reception. I don't have the capacity to accept visitors to the workshop, phone calls, texts, or to be active on social media — it's just me, and I need to be able to concentrate.
3. No-refund / no-returns policy
The prostheses cannot be sold if returned. For this reason, I have an absolute no-refunds / no-returns policy.
4. Choice of clients
Due to the nature of the project, I am under no obligation to make a prosthesis for any specific person. If I wish to cancel an order, I may do so; the deposit will be refunded, though costs incurred may be deducted. Please note: I only cancel orders in extreme circumstances — since I began selling the Phase1 in January 2005, I have cancelled three orders under this clause.
5. The deposit
An order is confirmed when t2 prosthetics has confirmed receipt of the deposit. The deposit is non-refundable.
6. Wait times
Current wait-time estimates are always available through email. I cannot guarantee wait times prior to order — I have no way of knowing how many orders I will receive at any given time. When your order is confirmed, I confirm your scheduled ship date. The actual ship date may be a bit later; it is not possible to guarantee that nothing comes up — again, this is a design project and it is just me.
7. Final payment / cancellations
I will send you an invoice for the final payment about 4 weeks before your prosthesis' due date, and I need to have received payment in full two weeks before posting your prosthesis (for a t2 Simple, one week is enough). If I don't receive a response — payment or a request for a hold — within 2 weeks of sending the invoice, I will cancel your order, and the deposit will not be refunded.
I will assume that you have received the invoice. Sometimes invoices end up in a spam filter: if it's two weeks before your scheduled ship date and you haven't received an invoice from me, please contact me. In general, contact me anytime you want an update — I will answer within 1–2 days. Please check your spam filter and/or write again if you haven't received an answer.
8. Cancellations
If you choose to cancel your order, you may do so via email at any time before sending the final payment. The deposit, however, is non-refundable.
9. Holds
To place your order on hold, send me an email stating so; the request must be received and confirmed by t2 prosthetics, at the very latest two weeks after I have sent the final invoice. Your ship date will be rescheduled, and you'll receive a reminder one month before the new estimated ship date. You may then request a second hold, or pay and receive your prosthesis as scheduled. There is no third hold: after two holds without payment, the order will be cancelled. While your order is on hold, it is your responsibility to keep me updated with your current email address.
10. Pricing
I reserve the right to change the price to receive a prosthesis, the deposit amount, and the price of parts and repairs; changes will be visible on this website. Of course, if you have paid the deposit for your prosthesis, I will not change the price for your prosthesis.
11. Privacy policy
Your personal information is kept in strict confidence — see the Privacy page for details. Feel free to write reviews and share this website and the videos; if you post your own content, please do so with respect for the project and for the people who wear their prostheses as part of their body — many prefer privacy.
12. Repair policy
See the FAQ for repair process and parts pricing. I will not accept prostheses returned to me without prior consultation — prostheses returned without my ok and instructions will be returned unopened to sender, and I take no responsibility for loss or damage during postage. There is no guarantee that your prosthesis can be repaired.
13. Limits to note
- No guarantee that the prosthesis will reduce or ease a personal genital dysphoria.
- No guarantee that the knob will work for you (it may not be intense enough, it may be too intense).
- No guarantee on colour satisfaction — you choose the colour from the pigment samples; the final colour will be as close as possible, slight variations may occur.
- No guarantee that the adhesive will bond the prosthesis to your skin (please read the adhesive information in the FAQ).
- No guarantee that the prosthesis will stay attached for any specific length of time or situation.
- No guarantee on how long it will take you to pump to erection — the estimate on this website is based on trials and is an estimate only.
- No guarantee on life expectancy for your prosthesis.
- No guarantee that I am able to repair your prosthesis if broken or damaged.
14. Quality, unembellished
- Each prosthesis is checked for faults and tested for function before leaving the workshop.
- The pumping and release mechanisms function correctly — if not, through communication with me, most likely we will be able to solve the problem.
- The pumping-time estimates quoted on this website are true estimates based on t2 prosthetics testing.
- All photos and videos are real and unaltered.
- The colour is matched to your chosen pigment sample to the best of my ability.
- The adhesive bond-time estimates are true estimates based on testing by people with whom medical adhesive functions as intended.
- The prosthesis is designed to stay attached to the body with silicone-based medical adhesive; if such adhesive is used as directed and the bond fails, the failure is due to the adhesive, not the design of the prosthesis.
- The descriptions on this website are accurate and not exaggerated.
15. Disclaimers
In the following, "the customer" / "owner" / "client" / "tester" and/or "wearer of the prosthesis" is referred to as "you"; t2 prosthetics is referred to as "I", "me", "t2 prosthetics".
General liability terms
t2 prosthetics takes no responsibility for prostheses not directly received from t2 prosthetics. Service, guarantee, and repairs are for the original owner only. The prostheses are produced and sold for trans men, people on the trans male spectrum, intersex and/or non-binary people who want to use the prosthesis as a body part. A person who purchases a prosthesis for any other reason has no entitlement to any claims to guarantees or services from t2 prosthetics, nor to legal proceedings against t2 prosthetics for any reason relating to the product, purchase, or service.
Realism and camouflage
Despite what you might read and see online, there is no penis prosthesis which truly looks and feels just like a natural penis. If you shower naked in a public shower, expect others to notice your prosthesis. Expect sexual partners will know that it is a prosthesis. People who touch the prosthesis through clothing may know. If you enter an airport body scanner while wearing the prosthesis, it will most likely be noticed. The attachment plate is likely to be seen and felt by anyone who sees you naked. The colour will not match your skin exactly, and will vary with lighting.
Comfort and function
Anything glued on may unglue. The erection is not spontaneous — you must pump the ball with one hand. The intensity of the knob's stimulation differs for everyone and may be uncomfortable or non-stimulating for you. The prosthesis must be attached to the body with the methods outlined on this website to sit comfortably and look natural; use of a harness may damage the skin of the prosthesis. Damage caused by attachment methods other than those outlined on this website and instructed upon receipt is not covered. If you are waiting for phalloplasty, please be aware: if you have decided to undergo phalloplasty despite its risks and shortcomings, you are likely to have priorities which will not be met with a prosthesis.
Adhesion and adhesives
t2 prosthetics is exempt from all claims to responsibility in any way involving the effectiveness, procurement, use, misuse, sale, or delivery of medical or other adhesives, solvents, or adhesive removers. I may recommend sellers and specific products, but take no responsibility for that information being correct or up to date. Currently available medical adhesives work well for most people — for some they do not work at all. Warning: never use anything other than silicone-based medical adhesive to adhere your prosthesis to your skin; other substances may damage the prosthesis and/or your skin.
Liability disclaimers — inherent risks
t2 prosthetics is not responsible for how you use, wear, and care for your prosthesis. I supply instructions and answer questions; it is your responsibility to keep your prosthesis clean for your safety and that of your partners, to practice safer sex, and to be aware that — as with all genital prostheses and packers — keeping silicone in your underwear increases the risk of infection and skin irritation (warmth, moisture, less air circulation). Take care of your skin; in case of rash or irritation, contact me for advice. Use adhesive only as instructed by t2 prosthetics and the adhesive company. The prosthesis is internally lubricated with coconut oil — if you have an allergy, contact me before you order for alternatives. The band-method elastic is not a medical silicone and is never labelled correctly; if you have relevant allergies, take precautions — I wash the sample elastic I send, and I suggest you wash any new elastic with mild soap and water before use.
Project continuation
t2 prosthetics reserves the right to discontinue the project at any time, in which case clients with outstanding orders will be informed and payments returned (repairs and replacement services would, however, be discontinued). Don't worry — I plan to be around for a long time. The project may also be paused, in which case outstanding orders will be informed and payments reimbursed or held after consultation and agreement. I reserve the right to make changes to the prosthesis design without informing clients or noting changes on the website, including alterations to size, aesthetics, and materials.
